 | About MeA member of the Florida Medical Association and Tampa Bay Urology Society, Dr. Craig Barkley works to ensure the well-being of his patients with careful attention. He currently functions as a Physician with Urology Specialists of West Florida, LLP, where he performs robotic surgery and sees patients for a variety of urinary issues such as incontinence, cancer, and impotence. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Craig Barkley has performed more than 240 robotic prostatectomies.Prior to joining the Urology Specialists of West Florida, Dr. Craig Barkley served as a Physician at the Clearwater, Florida-based practice, Urology Associates. He completed his medical internship at Blodgett Hospital and Saint Mary’s Health Care in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With certifications in laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery, Dr. Craig Barkley developed expertise in laser surgery, working with innovative devices such as the GreenLight XPS, the RevoLix Surgical Laser, and Holmium Laser Treatment. As a founding member of the Urology Specialists of West Florida, Dr. Craig Barkley offers patients thorough healthcare from examinations to post-surgery treatment. The success of the facility paved the way for several new locations including Safety Harbor, St. Petersburg, Trinity, Clearwater, and Palm Harbor. Dr. Craig Barkley earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana State University where he served as a Resident Assistant in addition to his work as a nurse assistant and emergency room technician. He went on to earn his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine. A husband and father, Dr. Barkley resides in Clearwater, Florida, where he spends his spare time traveling, golfing, and skiing. |
